On Oct. 6, the Wisconsin Local Food Purchase Assistance Program is hosting an event to help you learn the ropes of wholesale readiness.
Join Marbleseed, WI Food Hub, Chippewa Valley Produce, Pa Thao, and the WI LFPA Program from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Long Cheng Marketplace in Appleton to learn about wholesale vegetable readiness. The address: 1804 South Lawe Street, Appleton, WI 54915
The training will cover production planning, yield assessments, handling, packing, labeling, and transporting of products for farm to food access programs.
Instructors Erich Furstenberg – Wisconsin Food Hub Cooperative, Shawn Bartholomew – Chippewa Valley Produce and Pa Thao – Maiv Flower Farm & Pa Thao Consulting, will share from their own farm to food access supply chain experiences and information on practices that lend well towards success in supplying for the WI LFPA.
