University of Wisconsin-Madison Chancellor Jennifer L. Mnookin will join dairy industry leaders and local alumni for a special community event showcasing the significant impact of UW-Madison’s Dairy Innovation Hub on Wisconsin’s $52.8 billion dairy industry.
The free event will take place on March 20, 2025, from 6-8 p.m. at the Baraboo Arts Center (323 Water Street, Baraboo) and will include a panel discussion with industry experts, appetizers, and beverages.
Featured speakers include:
Jennifer L. Mnookin – Chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Madison
Shelly Mayer ’88 – Executive Director of the Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin
Matt Ruark – Professor, Division of Extension soil scientist, Faculty Director of the Dairy Innovation Hub, Faculty Adviser at Discovery Farms, and Project Director for the USDA’s Sustainable Dairy Project
The panel will discuss cutting-edge research initiatives and educational opportunities. As well as how the Dairy Innovation Hub is addressing challenges facing Wisconsin’s dairy industry.
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with speakers and connect with local alumni. As well as learn about collaborative efforts between UW-Madison and dairy producers throughout the state.
