From Stress to Success: Online Course for Farmers

Farmers and agricultural business owners seeking change or solutions for challenges now have a valuable new resource. The University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension has launched an online course, Navigating Your Ag Business: From Stress to Success, designed to help participants identify and achieve their business goals.

This course provides actionable strategies to answer three key questions:

  • Where are you now?
  • Where do you want to be?
  • How do you get there?

The program combines self-paced online learning with live virtual group sessions, fostering a collaborative peer community while engaging with skilled facilitators. The course begins January 1, 2025, with the first live Zoom session scheduled for January 28, 2025, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM Central Time. Participants will continue their self-paced learning through April and will have opportunities for group discussions and personalized meetings with facilitators.

By the end of the course, participants will:

  • Identify and prioritize their unique stressors.
  • Determine their financial standing.
  • Create a vision and set actionable goals for their farm and family.
  • Develop a plan to address challenges and achieve their goals.

Space for this session is limited, and farm members are encouraged to attend together. To ensure materials arrive before the start date, participants are encouraged to register by December 13, 2024. Registrations will remain open until the class is full.
