Food + Farm Exploration Center invites the community to join in celebrating National Mashed Potato Day on Oct. 18 from 12-4 p.m. This family-friendly event will blend fun with hands-on agricultural learning, bringing people together to celebrate one of Wisconsin’s favorite crops, the potato.
Guests will enjoy a wide variety of potato-themed activities including mashed potato sculpting, potato sack races, face painting, and a create-your-own mashed potato bar. Families can also snap a photo with the World’s Largest Potato Masher, a one-of-a-kind attraction unique to Food + Farm Exploration Center.
“National Mashed Potato Day is a fun way to celebrate the importance of agriculture in our everyday lives
while giving families a chance to play, learn, and connect,” says Alexandria Behrend, Executive Director of Food + Farm Exploration Center. “Every donation helps us continue our mission to educate current and future generations about agricultural innovation and sustainability.”
The event is open to the public with a suggested donation of $10 per person. Proceeds directly support agricultural education programs at Food + Farm Exploration Center, helping learners of all ages explore the journey of food from field to fork.
