Food + Farm Exploration Center is participating in Our World: Worldwide Day of Play on Sept. 27. As a day dedicated to experiencing joyful learning through play, this event focuses on getting kids and their families up, out, and playing together.
Our World: Worldwide Day of Play is part of Nickelodeon’s Our World global initiative to inspire kids. The celebration at Food + Farm includes a day full of interactive activities designed to spark imagination, movement, and fun for all ages:
- Potato sack races (starting at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.)
- Face painting
- Make a pollinator for the wind tunnel
- Build a shed or tractor in the Seedlings Gallery
- Explore more than 60 hands-on exhibits and enjoy the tractor petting zoo
Admission includes participation in the Worldwide Day of Play. Visitors can purchase tickets in advance to save their spot. Members can attend for free with their year-round access, but need to reserve a no-cost ticket in advance.
“Food + Farm Exploration Center was built on the idea that learning should be hands-on, engaging, and fun,” says Executive Director Alexandria Behrend. “Worldwide Day of Play is the perfect opportunity to show how play connects us to each other, to our food, and to the world around us. We’re excited to welcome families of all ages to discover the joy of playful learning.”
