Each year, the Wisconsin FFA showcases top students and Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) programs by awarding their agricultural proficiency awards. Students from across the state, apply for the awards based on the work, time and money invested in their SAE. FFA members can be recognized in 45 different agriculturally related areas at the state level.
“Normally, these winners would be announced at the Wisconsin FFA Convention,” says Cheryl Zimmerman, Wisconsin FFA Executive Director, however, “due to a delayed convention and National FFA deadlines, we have decided to release them ahead of the event through social media.” The Wisconsin FFA proficiency winners will now have their applications submitted to National FFA competition, and national finalists will be selected later this summer.
