Ferguson’s Orchards Opens With New Attractions

Ferguson’s Orchards will open its gates for the season on Aug. 17, with new attractions, thrilling surprises, and an abundance of apples.

Ferguson’s Orchards is one of the region’s largest commercial apple growers between the Rocky Mountains and Lake Michigan. They care for roughly 400,000 apple trees.

Ferguson’s Orchards spent the last year curating a fall adventure for everyone. This includes apple aficionados, who have many varieties to choose from throughout the season.

This fall is the 10th anniversary of the Fergusons planting over 40,000 Pazazz apple trees, a Honeycrisp crossbreed, that has become one of the orchards’ most popular varieties.

“We know a lot of people throughout the Chippewa Valley visit us every year — with many people visiting several times throughout the season — so we spent a lot of time dreaming up how we can make this fall season special and even more fun than last year,” says Andy Ferguson, co-owner of Ferguson’s Orchards. “With the incredible new attractions and offerings we’ve cooked up for our neighbors and visitors this year, we can’t wait to see and hear what everyone’s reactions are.”

Last year, over 100,000 visitors enjoyed Ferguson’s Orchards Apple Blossom Park, pick-your-own pumpkin patch, and corn maze.

This year, the orchard will entice even more visitors with several new attractions and offerings, including a new low ropes obstacle course, bubble barn station, a completely renovated duck pond with a waterfall, and more.

“We’ve spent a considerable effort making sure that people don’t feel crowded when they visit,” says Ferguson. “Seeing our visitors’ enjoyment at the orchard is one of the most exciting parts of the season for us.”
