Farm Bureau To Host Leadership Boot Camp

Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation’s Promotion and Education Committee is hosting a one-day Leadership Boot Camp on October 28at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center in Fond du Lac.

The topic for this year’s Leadership Boot Camp is ‘Storytelling Strategies’. Attendees will learn effective consumer outreach tactics, hear a panel discussion about sustainable storytelling successes and discover new avenues to share the state’s agricultural story with WFBF’s consumer facing website, Gather Wisconsin.

“Leadership Boot Camp offers the opportunity to network with members from across the state,” said WFBF Promotion and Education Committee chair Brenda Dowiasch. “I’m looking forward to the guest speakers and panel discussion during the program on Saturday. You are not going to want to miss out on this great event.”

Preceding the Leadership Boot Camp, Wisconsin Ag in the Classroom will be hosting a Volunteer Rally on October 27. This event will be a fast-paced workshop filled with new resources, hands-on activities and plenty of idea sharing. Additionally, there will be an opportunity to attend a tour and enjoy dinner at LaClare Family Creamery.

The Volunteer Rally and Leadership Boot Camp are open to Farm Bureau members, including collegiate members. Registration is $30 for both days and $20 for one day only. Registration includes the training and lunch. There is an additional $15 registration fee for the LaClare Family Creamery tour and dinner. The registration deadline is October 16.
