Falcon Frontier Days Rodeo Returns

The 60th annual Falcon Frontier Days Rodeo is Friday and Saturday, Sept. 6-7, at the outdoor rodeo arena at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Campus Farm located at 1475 S. Wasson Lane, River Falls. Friday’s performance begins at 7 p.m., while Saturday’s performances are set for 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Rodeo attendees will have the opportunity to view numerous events, ranging from saddle bronc riding to calf roping as well as barrel racing. The UWRF Rodeo Club will compete in the event, along with other collegiate teams that are members of the Great Plains region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA). The event typically attracts about 300 participants. 

Tickets are available at the gate (cash only) or online at https://www.uwrfrodeo.com/buy-tickets. Ticket prices are $20/adults, $15/UWRF students purchased in advance and $10/for ages 5-12. Free for age 4 and under. Military veterans receive a $5 discount. 

Onsite parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis at the rodeo grounds. Food will be available for purchase at the concession stand.

The Falcon Frontier Days Rodeo has been occurring annually since 1964, except for its cancellation in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
