On Monday, September 9, 2024, from 1-4 pm, farmers from across Wisconsin can attend a field day at the Farley Center in Verona, WI. The event will showcase agricultural conservation practices and include a farm-fresh local lunch.
Participants can tour farms at the Farley Center, observe integrated conservation practices, and learn about USDA NRCS-funded agricultural conservation programs in Wisconsin. Farmer Juan Gonzalez Torres (Los Abuelos Farley Farm & Los Jalapenos CSA) will discuss his on-farm conservation efforts.
NRCS staff will meet participants to explain programs and funding for small-scale, urban, and underserved producers. Go Farm Connect and Wisconsin Women in Conservation staff will offer guidance on achieving conservation goals and applying for NRCS funding.
