Experienced Leaders Reappointed to WFBF Team

The Wisconsin Farm Bureau Board of Directors has reappointed Kari Schoenike of Dodge County and Clara Hedrich of Calumet County to its Promotion and Education Committee.

Their new terms begin at WFBF’s Annual Meeting and Young Farmer and Agriculturist Conference, December 6-9, in Wisconsin Dells.

“Kari and Clara have offered valuable insight and perspective as committee representatives,” said WFBF President Brad Olson. “We look forward to leveraging their experience as they begin their second three-year terms serving our organization.”

Kari Schoenike grew up on her family’s crop farm in rural Dodge County, where she discovered a passion for agriculture and education. As the Agriculture Education Manager at Wisconsin State Fair, she promotes agriculture-focused educational opportunities for exhibitors and fairgoers. An active Dodge County Farm Bureau member, she helps plan and implement educational activities for her community.

Clara Hedrich grew up on a dairy farm in Northeastern Wisconsin and taught high school agriculture for 39 years. She and her family founded LaClare Family Creamery in Malone, specializing in goat milk cheeses. Clara coordinates the creamery’s agri-tourism events and co-owns KIDFARM, LLC with her husband. She also serves as secretary of the Calumet County Fair Board and sits on the Wisconsin Agricultural Tourism Association Board.

The Promotion and Education Committee includes nine leaders representing each Wisconsin Farm Bureau district. Members develop and promote projects that build agricultural awareness and provide leadership development for the farming community. The committee chair serves on the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation’s Board of Directors as the program’s representative. The Wisconsin Farm Bureau Foundation funds the Promotion and Education Program.
