Earn, Learn, and Have Fun As A Wisconsin State Fair Summer Assistant

Are you ready for an exciting summer? The Wisconsin State Fair is hiring 2025 Agriculture Department Summer Assistants.

Summer Assistants will play a key role in preparing for the Fair, assisting with livestock shows, and organizing agriculture education activities. This unique opportunity provides practical experience working independently and as part of a team.

What You’ll Do

  • Help with data entry, exhibitor communication, and customer service.
  • Set up and maintain agriculture attractions like the Compeer Financial Discovery Barnyard and livestock barns.
  • Create educational activities to engage fairgoers.
  • Assist with the Dairy Products competition and other agriculture events.
  • Facilitate livestock changeovers and direct visitors and exhibitors.

What You’ll Need

  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
  • Professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced, unexpected situations.

Assistants must work from July 27 to August 13. On-site housing is available during this time. The role pays $17 per hour.
