Dollars Approved For New Farm Center

The Wisconsin Building Commission approved the release of $3 million in grants to support the construction of the Food and Farm Exploration Center in Plover.

While the commission approved the release of money this week, the state established the dollars in 2023 Wisconsin Act 19 for the Farming for the Future Foundation Inc.

The center was born out of the profound need to reconnect people to agriculture and their food, says Executive Director Andy Reitz. It will be a place for people to come together on a journey into the world of modern agriculture.

The two-story center will host agricultural exhibit galleries tailored for all age groups. It will feature a kitchen/food demonstration lab, café, maker space, greenhouse, and a farm technology shed showcasing the latest advancements in agricultural equipment. Additionally, the center will provide versatile event spaces, fostering education and innovation within the community.
