In partnership with Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS), the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) will be hosting an “Accepting Payments from Customers using Food Assistance Programs” webinar on June 9, 2021 from 12-1 p.m.
This webinar will provide information to farmers, farmers market managers, and farmer organizations on the steps and requirements involved with accepting Food Assistance Program payment methods. It will cover how to:
- Register as a retailer for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)/FoodShare
- Accept payments from Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards as well as senior and Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) voucher checks
- Obtain free EBT card processing equipment and have transaction fees covered
