Dairy Signal Announces Line Up

Professional Dairy Producers® (PDPW), announces the line-up of speakers for week 58 of The Dairy Signal™. Episodes this week feature a discussion of U.S. and international events and policies that will impact dairy producers, as well as insights on motivating employees.

Dr. Mark Stephenson, PhD, Director of Dairy Policy Analysis at UW-Madison and Director of Wisconsin’s Center for Dairy Profitability, will join The Dairy Signal to outline the impact that fuel shortages in the eastern U.S. might have on dairy and beef producers and food retailers.  Mary Ledman, Global Dairy Strategist, Rabobank, will provide a look at international dairy markets and policy.

Sarah Daugherty, Workforce Development Manager, Paramount Calves, Darlington, Wis., Katie Gerrits, Director of Human Resources, Breeze Dairy Group, Pine River, Wis., and Kevin Wulf, Community Relations and Employee Education, Riverview LLP, Morris, Minn., will participate in a panel discussion on training, rewarding and motivating employee teams on high-performing dairy farms.

Developed by fellow dairy farmers from the PDPW Board of Directors, The Dairy Signal is a weekly series of free educational episodes offering insights and resources for fellow dairy farmers and other food system professionals throughout the value chain. The episodes air live from 12:00-1:00 PM CT each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; recorded sessions are available later in the day.

Each live session offers attendees the opportunity to engage in open Q&A with the speakers through the interactive platform.

Tuesday, May 18

Topic: Gain insights on how the hacked pipeline between Texas and New York will affect fuel supply and the potential impact on dairy and beef producers, as well as consumers buying trends at the grocery level. Session will also include an overview of milk and commodity pricing trends and policies that could affect producers. Episode presenter includes:
