Corn Foundation Starts Scholarship In Bob Oleson’s Name

Bob Oleson is being remembered for his unwavering dedication to Wisconsin corn. He championed Wisconsin corn farmers as the executive director of both the Wisconsin Corn Growers Association and the Wisconsin Corn Promotion Board.

To honor Bob Oleson and his tireless work for corn growers in our state, the Wisconsin Corn Foundation is announcing a new scholarship in his name.

“Bob’s impact on the corn industry in Wisconsin will never be forgotten,” says Foundation Chair Mike Berget. “His legacy will be passed down to our youth through the scholarship program so his influence can be remembered for years to come.”

WCGA was always a priority in Bob’s life, coming right after family and church. Bob made Wisconsin corn work. With his leadership, along with support from his wife Kathy, Bob grew the Wisconsin corn membership and programming.

He always encouraged other corn growers to be involved and always went above and beyond in his work. He is remembered for his exceptionally knowledgeable and articulation in his work.

His influence and leadership also reached the national level through his involvement with the U.S. Feed Grains Council (now U.S. Grains Council), the National Corn Growers Association Board, and the National Corn Development Foundation.

Bob’s work for Wisconsin corn growers decades ago still pays dividends today. His passion for Wisconsin Corn Growers will always be remembered.
