Congratulations Megan Mosgaller, the 2025 Wisconsin State Fair Dairy Goat Supreme Exhibitor.
Megan Mosgaller became involved with dairy goats in 2019 after persuading her mother to bring a small group of goats to their farm. What began with just four animals has since grown into a thriving herd of 45. As her herd expanded, so did Megan’s passion for the dairy goat industry. She now breeds registered Alpines, Nubians, and Toggenburgs, and actively exhibits her animals at sanctioned shows throughout the Midwest.
Megan is an active member of the Washington County Dairy Goat Project, and has earned the educational award for three consecutive years. She enjoys sharing her knowledge of the dairy goat industry and educating the public on proper care, production practices, and the importance of dairy goats in agriculture.
At Wisconsin State Fair, Megan has earned Supreme Overall Showperson twice and Overall Reserve Champion Senior Doe twice. Her proudest achievement is earning Supreme Champion Bred and Owned Doe, reflecting her dedication and commitment to her herd.
Megan is currently attending UW-River Falls, majoring in dairy science with a pre-veterinary emphasis. She has been accepted into the UW-Madison FAVeMeds Program. This will allow her to graduate from UW-River Falls in spring 2027 and transition directly into the UW-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine that fall. After completing her education, Megan plans to return to her hometown to serve the community as a large animal veterinarian.
Wisconsin State Fair holds many meaningful memories for Megan, from late nights in the barn to early mornings preparing pens. Her favorite memory was during last year’s showmanship competition when she earned Overall Showman. Looking ringside, she saw her mother, mentors, best friend, and the entire team who had supported her journey. It was an unforgettable moment and a powerful reminder of how much the fair community means to her.
