Jim Brinkmeier will be presented the Wisconsin State Fair Hall of Fame Award. This award is specific to the swine barn and presented by WPA. The WPA Hall of Fame Award recognizes an outstanding individual who has demonstrated a long-time commitment to the Wisconsin State Fair in the open and junior shows, and who has developed a successful swine breeding program throughout their career.
Jim raised and showed Yorkshires at the Wisconsin State Fair and nationally for several years. He also participated in testing boars at Belleville for many years. Jim was an active leader of the Stephenson County Pork Producer Board and American Yorkshire Association. Jim continued to advocate for the pork industry. He devotedly attended the Wisconsin State Fair breeding show until his passing in 2023. Jim’s legacy will continue to live on for generations to come.
Wisconsin Pork Association would like to invite those interested in attending to join them at the award presentation in the swine barn at the Wisconsin State Fairgrounds on Sunday, August 3rd, 2025, around 12:00 p.m. to recognize the 2025 Hall of Fame inductee as well as past Hall of Fame Award recipients. This year’s recipient is Jim Brinkmeier from Pearl City, Illinois. The award will be given in honor of Jim posthumously.
