Cropland cash rent paid to Wisconsin landlords in 2024 averaged $162 per acre according to USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service.
Non-irrigated cropland rent averaged $158 per acre, $7 above last year. Irrigated cropland rent averaged $257 per acre, $11 below 2023. Pasture rented for cash averaged $41 per acre, $3.50 above the previous year.
Wisconsin’s farm real estate value, a measurement of the value of all land and buildings on farms, averaged $6,120 per acre in 2024. This was unchanged from last year’s value.
Cropland, at $6,800 per acre, was $180 higher than last year. Pasture, at $3,200 per acre, was $90 above last year.
