Riders in the Sky

Riders in the Sky originated 44 years ago in a very different world.

Three young men wanted to keep a special music alive! They believed in presenting the heritage of western music as well as creating original western music and presenting it to new generations to continue the tradition. They also believed in entertaining audiences as well as themselves.

Ranger Doug, Too Slim and the late Windy Bill Collins played their first date on Nov. 11th, 1977 in Nashville. The following year Woody Paul joined. Their family friendly style also appeals to children, exemplified in their recordings for Disney and Pixar. They have won two Grammy awards and have written and performed music for major motion pictures, including “Woody’s Roundup” from Toy Story 2 and Pixar’s short film, For the Birds. They have entertained many with their concerts, TV appearances and more than 40 albums.

Ranger Doug, Too Slim, Woody Paul and Joey the Cowpoke King continue with wacky western wit and their close western harmonies.

William Florian “Those Were the Days”

William Florian will take us back to the 60s and 70s for an enjoyable journey of America’s great folk and pop songs of groups such as The Mamas and the Papas, John Denver, and Pete Seeger. A former lead singer of the popular New Christy Minstrels, William has performed in performing arts centers throughout the United States. He presented “Those Were the Days” in China in 2016. He also shares amusing stories and snippets of musical history in a wonderfully intimate way. He is accompanied by an instrumental trio.
