Saturday, March 8 (8:15AM-3:00PM)
Continuing our 15-year tradition, Saturday is all about learning, with presentations from researchers and growers on a range of topics.
Morning sessions include: State-by-State updates (WI, MN, IL, IA); Rejuvenating old hazelnut plantings; Low-tech propagation techniques for your best plants; Updates on UMHDI cultivar availability and breeding
Afternoon sessions include: Hazelnut alley-cropping; Oil content and nutritional quality of Midwest-grown hazelnuts; Cost-share and insurance programs for hazelnut growers; Building a Midwest hazelnut brand
