Ag Prices Reflect A Mixed Bag In March

The average price Wisconsin farmers got for corn in March was $4.39 per bushel, according to the latest agricultural prices report from USDA. This was 12 cents below the February price but $0.30 above March 2024.

The report from the National Agricultural Statistics Service says Wisconsin soybean farmers got $9.71 per bushel in March. That’s 20 cents below the February price and $1.89 below the March 2024 price.

The March average oat price per bushel, at $4.10, was 28 cents above February and 22 cents above March 2024.

All hay prices in Wisconsin averaged $122 per ton in March. This was $2 below the February price and $15 below the March 2024 price. The March 2025 alfalfa hay price, at $132, was $4 below the previous month and $55 below March 2024. The average price received for other hay during March was $90 per ton. This was $11 above the February price but $47 below March last year.

The Wisconsin all milk price for March was $21.802 per hundredweight (cwt). This was $1.90 below last month’s price but $2.60 above last March’s price.
