From sweet corn and squash to a one-of-a-kind FFA-themed corn maze, Petals & Plows in Ripon is more than a farm; it’s a destination. Wade and Haley Kaufman, the husband-and-wife team behind the family business, are preparing for a busy fall season filled with pumpkins, gourds, and community connection.
The farm is part of the Wisconsin Agricultural Tourism Association, which helps small businesses like Petals & Plows grow and welcome visitors from across the state. This year, the Kaufmans’ maze is the only FFA-logo corn maze in Wisconsin, making it a featured stop in WATA’s Maze Challenge. From Sept. 11 to Nov. 2, visitors can snap a photo inside any member farm’s maze, share it on social media with the tag #WATAMaze, and be entered to win prizes.
At Petals & Plows, pumpkins take center stage in the fall. The Kaufmans recommend visiting between Sept. 20 and Oct. 17, when the crop is at its best. Coinciding with that timeframe is their customer appreciation event on Sept. 20, giving families the perfect reason to kick off their fall traditions on the farm.
Beyond pumpkins and the maze, visitors will also find a greenhouse brimming with seasonal color, along with farm-fresh produce like sweet corn and squash. For Haley and Wade, the goal is simple: to bring people together in the heart of Wisconsin’s countryside.
